More about us

Teta Cares is a non-profit organization that was created to serve the general public during this crisis. It was named after my grandmother who my siblings, cousins, and I call "teta", which means grandmother in Arabic. I revered my grandmother for her ability to work hard, to sacrifice for her family and the people around her, and to create useful and creative items out of torn and broken materials. Her love for helping others was endless and her memory remains with us forever. Unfortunately, she is not here to enjoy making masks with my family and I, but I know that she would be extremely proud of the fact that we are still carrying on her tradition of using our creativity to help others.
